just busy! I have been working no less than 60 hours for the last month. However...I have had some time for fun!
At the end of October Jessie traveled from ND to visit. We had a fantastic three days doing what we love...eating, shopping, eating, shopping, and watching Ellen! We also spent a day with Emily, Maren and Dena at the pumpkin patch. Despite the wind, we had a beautiful day. And I also had the best cider slushy ever imaginable! It was SOO tasty!
Jen, Maren and I also spent a Saturday afternoon together, playing Guitar Hero, eating dinner and going to a movie. That was a very enjoyable day!
This Tuesday Kathy (my friend/mentor from FD days at InterVarsity) was in the area. We had an afternoon together of catch up time and dinner. It was so fun to hear her stories about motherhood. She is the proud mother of Porter who was born in July.
That sums the last month of my life...when I am not working it seems that I am recovering and resting.
I am really looking forward to next week. I am only working 3 days and then I heading to IOWA for Thanksgiving. I cherish my time with my family and Iowa friends. It is so fun to catch up with people and spend quality time there. I am blessed.
Lastly...if you pray...here is how you can pray for me...
Pray for my work...Pray that I would be efficient with time and take time for myself and others outside of work.
Pray that my life would be less self-consuming and more about others. I want to serve...but I get wrapped up in myself...ALOT.
Pray that I would be able to attend weekly Small Group without work interferences.
Thanks friends. Whether I talk to you daily or not often enough...I think of you.
Blessings--Kate
PS. Happy 23rd Birthday to my brother Markus!
